On the whole, I think vinyl is a pain in the arse with very little to recommend it other than (a) its physicality - the ability to hold a real substantial object (and with that the unquestionable ownership of it) - and (2) the need to choose. Unless you're very rich you simply can't afford all you might want so you have to decide which ones to buy. Streaming wins on every other measure. If you're the sort of sad case who has catalogued all of their music on an app that links to a streaming service you can browse on your phone and stream your purchases, making the whole buying seem particularly pointless. But that's where we are.
