Grabbing Life by The Handlebars!!
Making the most of every hour possible by getting out on two wheels as soon as it came light. I enjoyed a beautiful ride up to Lac d'Estaing which is another long, if shorter than yesterday climb. It's gorgeous as you wind your way up and the lake is another example of splendid isolation.
I then swiftly dropped my bike off, relocated my suitcase I'd left in the post room for my Air BnB, got changed into civilian clothes behind a tree...and headed for the airport via two buses.
I've just landed back at Stansted and I'm about to drive back to Yorkshire. The flight saw the sunset and it meant the lights were turned off for landing. I've never experienced that before and I blooming loved it. Such a cosy and magical feeling!
A wonderful trip that acts to remind me, and hopefully some of you too, that there are no mountains in life (literal or metaphorical) you can't climb. You just have to dare to start the ascent, know it may take time and never give up, you will get to the summit. :-)
