Farewell Anita

I’ve spent the day with Max at Anita’s funeral in Brighton, i’m met Karen when I was 15 so I have known her Mum Anita for over 40 years.

Karen was the celebrant and did an incredible job of telling Mums story. I’m so proud of her and know for a fact that I couldn’t have done it! It was a beautiful service.

Afterwards we went to Proud cabaret where Alex Proud had gifted a free bar and nibbles. I was honoured to sing some jazz standards, Karen also sang some gorgeous songs That old devil called love, Girl from ipanena, fly me to the moon. We sang Lean on me together with everyone, it was very special.

Lovely to see Boogaloo Stu, Fake Bush, Ty Jeffries, Kevin Freeman and his husband and other friends even in such sad circumstances.
