Seeing red…

After Pilates it was such a lovely day that I decided to make the most of the afternoon.

I had a ride to the Yorkshire Arboretum which as you can imagine during half term was very busy. There is a new enclosure for Red Squirrels although when I first visited they were making themselves scarce. I set off round the perimeter walk enjoying the last of the Autumn colours (see extra). It was much quieter the crowds being round the lake and visitors centre. When I returned two squirrels were rooting around for acorns. I really enjoyed watching them.

The photo of the ducks in the extra made me smile. I found myself humming “Your so vain” as the female seemed unimpressed with his preening.
