Curlew

A day on the Wirral didn't quite pan out as I had wished. 
I started at Hoylake/Meols looking for a Little Stint but couldn't find it, even with the help of some people with scopes. 
Then I moved back towards home via West Kirby Marine Lake, Parkgate and Denhall Quay. I clocked up quite a few steps, but saw very little. 
There wasn't even a sniff of an Owl at Denhall Quay despite me spending over two hours there late afternoon and the other 3 people who were there were also disappointed. Oh well, you can't win them all as they say.
So, here's a poor shot of a Curlew in the mud at Hoylake foraging for food.
