Hypochondriac Flower!

We spotted this flowering plant while out walking this afternoon with Granddog Oona. It looked unusual and we didn't know what it was, so I photographed it and asked Google Lens. It seems it's definitely an Amaranthus, and it seems to match "Amaranthus Hypochondriacus" best (aka Prince-of-Wales Feather). Whoever knew a flower could be a hypochondriac! I hope BikerBear Anni likes it as my Flower Friday blip.

Somehow October has come and gone in a flash, so tomorrow, being the first Saturday of the month, is a hosted Silly Saturday in memory of Admirer.
