It was a very busy and full on day at the office.  There were quite a few colleagues in and there was lots going on.  I was so busy that I didn’t manage a lunch break, and was glad I had brought a sandwich, which I ate at my desk.

I was supposed to leave early but ended up leaving twenty minutes later than planned. That meant I had to run most of the way to Lothian Road, where I was meeting TT for tea.  We had some lovely Indian food, then made our way to The Lyceum.  We had tickets for A Streetcar Named Desire.  We were pretty much surrounded by senior school kids from an Edinburgh school.  From what I picked up, some had studied it and some were currently studying it.  I too, studied this play at school, many years ago –my introduction to Tennessee Williams.  It was very intense, and the first “half” seemed very long.  The second “half” was equally intense, but shorter.  I enjoyed it.  I think TT did too.

We were on the bus home and had time to kill, so wandered a wee bit, then just waited at the bus stop.  We eventually got home , and pretty much went straight to bed.

This is a sign in our eatery this evening
