Snowshill Lavender
I went out for a 45 mile bike ride with my friend Peter this morning. After some serious climbing we found ourselves at Snowshill where we intended to stop for refreshments. However it was absolutely heaving with people and the queue for the cafe was out of the door so we changed our minds and headed down to Broadway.
The new lavender looked lovely over the hedge but it cost money to go in and was crawling with people so photos would have been spoiled.
However, this field of older lavender looked very striking, particular with the nicely positioned complementary yellow flowers in the foreground.
This was taken with my NEX-6 (with the help of a polarising filter)
