Turning
24.0C with haar. Warm and humid. Zephyr.
We had a very dramatic thunderstorm about midnight. Lots of bright lightning and noisy thunder. Followed by heavy rain.
As Maeve the Deerhound and I were walking down the field with the bridle path after lunch today we saw a tractor with spraying gear drive along the bottom road and into the next field. As we got to the bottom of the path I took some photos with the tractor driving up the slope in the field of potatoes, his gear deployed and spraying in full swing.
Rather than walk along the cycle path we walked along the pavement on the side of the road where the fields are and I managed to get this clearer shot of the tractor turning to make another run up the slope.
After watching the spraying we went over the road and through the gate and across the small field to the level crossing and then down to the beach. The blue boat was coming ashore again. Two people on board today. Looked like the fisherman had his grandson for company. From the area in front of the Fishermen's huts we watched them moor the boat, then climb into the green dingy and start to row ashore.
We also noticed that the board outside the hut that belongs to the owner of 'Valhalla VI' has been updated. The Mackerel have arrived.
Later I listened to Joe Tree being interviewed on Radio Scotland by Sanjeev Kohli as I had a look through the pictures I had taken on the walk :-)
