Saffron

There is lots of greenery, but I have only had about 4 flowers this year. So I will need to lift and split these at some point this year. Research needed to work out the best time.
The garlic has finally arrived (see extra) - interesting to hear Monty Don saying there has been a delay for him too. These are being shared with another allotmenteer and I'm hoping to get the first lot planted tomorrow.
Slugs - they have been everywhere this year. These two were lurking inside the kitchen door at the allotments. I'm planning to use nematodes for the first time next year.
