Off to Berwick

It was a lovely day today, very mild.

Set off at 1pm from Perth to Berwick. Road quite good no real hold ups apart from a few miles on the Edinburgh by-pass. The usual heavy traffic.

We stopped in this place in Dunbar for something to eat, a Cafe that had a gallery attached to it. It was very nice food and frie y service.

Arrived at the Premier Inn and checked in. Our room was the usual PI and had an extra single bed in the room. But there was a loud buzzing noise so I went down to see the manager, Susan, and she came up to inspect. She agreed. It was something in the air con (which was off). She said they were busy and not sure if there was another room but would go and check. She came back up and said there was a room free for two nights, an accessible room (for disabled) and to come and see it. It is also a Premier plus room. It was massive! The bed was lower (which isn’t a problem for us). There was a coffee machine, water in the fridge, two small bars of chocolate, an iron and ironing board (I never iron now) and a huge bathroom with a shower that has a seat, a wet room really. I think anyone that is in a wheelchair would be happy with this room. Well I was happy with it and no droning noise. I am so fussy about sleep stuff. My husband says I have ‘issues’ lol!

Gunga texted to say she had arrived and she was a floor above us. Went up to see her and we decided to go to the Turkish round the corner for food.

We looked in the window and saw it was the wedding party had taken over the restaurant! There were conveniently three seats available so we got them. Had a chat with the bride to be and then had a seat and ordered.

The food was fabulous! G and I shared a chicken dish and a bowl of chips. S had a lamb dish (again)!

Home to the hotel and excited for the big day tomorrow!
