More cranking of virtual handle to get various updates and changes done. Also some more work on summarised version of our monster paper. It's getting there with a just over a week to go before the deadline. In the evening I went to the opening of the new lab for the genomics core unit. They provide gene sequencing for both internal and external clients. We are supporting them with compute and storage. I really enjoyed the the tour of the lab. Although, I have to admit that I was a little underwhelmed by the instruments. The big sequencers are the size of a fridge-freezer albeit with big screen and fancy blinkenlights. From my previous place of work I am used to more impressive instruments.
