Teasel ‘Hedgehog’

I do like these spiky teasel seed heads..I found a patch on my walk today and used the pop flash to produce this image of it floating on a black background.

The shutter, aperture and ISO settings (in Manual mode) would produce a black frame - even in daylight.

The flash is then the only source of light - and I was far away enough from the trees behind for the flash to fail to illuminate them!!  You can just make out a faint object just to the bottom/right of the teasel - which I could remove  in Lightroom :-)

In ‘bachelor’ mode again -  Mrs madwill has gone sewing this weekend and is then going to stay near her mother for a few days (Mrs madwill’s sister is away and she would normally be checking up on their mum).

Plenty of beer chilling in the fridge….
