Thistle

The hot spell plus a day of storms has decimated any photogenic flowers around the Mere. The irises and poppies are long gone, and the only flourishing plants are the cow parsley and ragged robin. I did come across a few little thistles though. The swan was meandering down the flood overflow which is full of pond weed and blue-green algae so not particularly scenic.
