Wish I'd Been There

Not my photo, sadly, but one which affected me today.

The pride in David's face as his daughter Romany sings along at the Hollywood Bowl earlier this week is clear to see.

By all accounts, the concert was amazing and I wish I had been able to see DG on tour. My boss saw him at the Albert Hall a couple of weeks ago and said it was fantastic.

I did see him at the AH in 2006. It was final night and as well as Richard Wright, who was playing on that tour, Nick Mason came on to play drums for Comfortably Numb, so I am able to say I have seen Pink Floyd for real.

Not many left now. My pal David and I try to do a Rock and Roll Road Trip every year. This year it was Yes at the AH, but we can't think of anyone we want to see now. They are all dead!

Never did get see Steve Harley. Man, that was mean.
