Autumn Splendour
Walked to a local village to the south of us today as a friend was involved in the "Village Café" which they put on in the village hall every so often. We've planned to go before but conditions have been unfavourable - it's a 3 to 4 mile walk in each direction, depending which path we take - too wet, too hot for our springer, springer with a problem with his paw, and so on. Anyway, today we made it, it didn't rain, the paths weren't too muddy overall, we spotted an oak with spectacular Autumn leaves in a field hedge (assume it's a Red Oak or similar) and discovered that, as others have told us, Martin is an excellent cake-baker!!
