Waved it off
Tutorial this morning, a good turn out too. Then a day of domestics that included a stroll. I went up to the post-box to wave off one of the stamps from yesterday - it's heading to Abroad (Scotland), so I hope that it fares well.
On the way back I reflected on the olden days. I grew up in a large city. If a letter was in the post-box for the first collection, and had a first-class stamp, it would be delivered across town on the same day. The only collection from this box was at 07:00 today and it'll not be emptied again until 09:00 on Monday. I'm not complaining, I understand the reasons for this change to the service, I was simply thinking about change and how it is relentless.
