Glimpse

I was just tootling through my Duolingo lesson this morning in bed when M&L texted to say they were 10 minutes away so I had to jump up to shower and get ready in record breaking time!
We went to breakfast at Loudon’s and Ad joined us too, lots of chat about Orkney, magnesium, ancient history, restaurant managers, Vitamin B12, future adventures and spy cameras! We also all checked our premium bonds…pleased I had another win!
I walked home via Grassmarket (not a very interesting market today) and spotted this view of the castle down one of the wynds.
It was another grey dull day and I wasn’t very inspired to do much outside, so did a bit of planning, some cleaning and ironing, and worked on a present I’m putting together for Christmas… a lot of photo editing involved!
I spoke to an extremely helpful and chatty man at BT about my free view box and he’s sending me a new one so that was an easy fix.
I’d been looking forward to a big cycle ride tomorrow but V texted at lunchtime to say she’d been knocked over by three dogs running loose in Roslin glen and bashed her head and knee and was in A&E. Nothing broken (it turned out 6 hours later) but she’s on crutches and drugged up for the pain. I hope her son gave the dog owners what for!
