Little Pony

Today, we've been birdwatching on the coast at Lymington and Normandy saltmarshes.  Weather wise, it was disappointingly dull all day and we probably wouldn't have gone had Martin not committed himself to leading a walk there for the RSPB.  A little bit of sun would have made all the difference to the autumnal New Forest which we travelled through by train to Brockenhurst and the shallow salterns at the coast. However, we still managed to see 43 species of bird including Spoonbills (12), a Dartford Warbler, lovely Pintail ducks, Curlews(10) and some newly arrived Brent Geese. The poor light prevented the taking of any good bird photos so my blip is of a little pony we met when we stopped for lunch.
