An ordinary life....

What a difference a day makes...

Up early and off to the hotel restaurant for breakfast to see that last night's halloween ghost at the entrance of the restaurant had this morning morphed into a Christmas tree!  It made us laugh :-))

Breakfast over, we checked out and I climbed up into the Touareg for the last time.

The Volvo garage was about 15 mins away and the traffic was light.  Arrived at the dealership to see the car sitting at the door.  Didn't take long to get the paperwork sorted and transfer our luggage from the VW to the Volvo. We both loved the Touareg (in fact it's probably one of my favourite cars out of all the cars we've had) but I can't deny it felt so wonderful to just put my bottom on the passenger seat of the V90 and swing my legs in.  So much easier, and will be so much easier when I finally get my abdominal surgery.

We set off home knowing as soon as we drove off that we'd made the right decision.

Journey was longer coming home as we had a few more stops than on the way down, but there were no major hold ups and the weather was fine until we were almost home and it started to rain.

Alan and Lola were both happy to see us :-) D quickly unpacked while I threw together a chicken salad for dinner.  Planned to catch up with some TV but we both conked out!
