A Baking Notion…..!!!

And made 7Up scones….a very light fluffy version of scones they are too..
And extra some fruity buns…

Haven’t baked anything other than bread in awhile as we’ve been eating a generally healthier diet…..but just sometimes…!!!
And a wee bit of excitement today….my new kitchen ‘Island’ is now designed and ordered…the fitter was here today and all was ok..
A very simple job for him he says…!!
Will take about 6 weeks..
I’m really looking forward to it…it will give me so much more working space..
You should’ve seen the ‘wreck’ of my kitchen today after the baking interlude…!!!

A dreary gloomy week it’s been in this strange unseasonal ‘anticyclone’ weather we’ve been having..!
All a bit unnatural really and in light of what happened in Spain this week…
It’s not looking good is it..!??
Climate change is very definitely upon us ..and I’m not so sure a lot can be done to change it at this advanced stage….
Kinda scary isn’t it..!!?
