Tiger stopped to EAT the dahlias....

A bit of a scare before going over to se my mom. After cutting the three blooms off, bringing them inside to put in vase and... Tiger decided to try one of the leaves. Luckily I was able to stop him and was able to confirm he didn't actually eat anything. A quick call to the vet for advice and most of the time, not enough is eaten and so throw up, tummy issues and.. but things pass and are rarely fatal. If I was sure he didn't eat anything, I shouldn't worry.

After stopping to top the tires off with air, picking up a cake doughnut with chocolate and nuts (mom is liking the variety), I headed over to see her. It was a bit sobering. One of the hazards of family living in the area for over 100 years is family tragedies. We were watching a movie on the screen when my mom teared up - it reminded her of a time when (I don't know the exact family relationship) of young gal (withholding her name) out with friends in a time before seat belts, going a bit fast and a wreck happen.. She was thrown from the car and killed. Trying to comfort my mom was a bit challenging.. Other than that she was mostly there - with the occasional other flashback.. We watched multiple Hallmark Christmas movies among having lunch, seeing pictures of Tiger and.. 

A very long day at work tomorrow...
