Carnock Hutting
Ms H was over in Fife for a night with her cousins so we headed over today to pick her up. We squeezed in a wee walk at Carnock and to catch up on the huts being built there. Although we noticed 2 new builds starting, this is one I saw a year ago and spoke to the owner. I remember him saying he works on it when he can, there is no rush as such. Since then the roof is on, windows in and a new door, probably more inside. I guess only the outside cladding is to go on to finish it off. Arlo and Barley were just reviewing the security arrangements.
While heading home in the dark and fireworks lighting up the sky, we swung past Portmore Reservoir sort of on the way for Arlo's walk and in the middle of nowhere. We got about a mile in before Arlo heard fireworks, which must have been 8+ miles away and wanted to head back to the car, so we did. They weren't loud at all, but it doesn't seem to matter. He was fine once home. In the collie facebook group we're in, it's all the talk, but someone recommended this padded snood for dogs that goes over their neck and ears, which we might be able to try if it comes quickly. It's hard to imagine him tolerating it, but there's a familiarisation process to follow so they accept it... we'll see haha.
