Living my dream

Battlements

Not really.

But interesting shadows of the tunnel house staging with pots of herbs on top.

It's been a cracker of a day, every moment of which has been filled in the garden.

The big job of the day was to put up the soft fruit netting. It involves lots of over-the-head wrestling with the huge net, and then lots of crawling around on my hands and knees securing the edges to the ground, and finally sitting on my bum sewing up holes in the net. It took most of the afternoon, and I'm delighted it's done. Extra.

Elsewhere I planted out beetroot, snapdragons, nigellas and borages; I watered various beds; and I sorted out some spare veg plants to be distributed to friends.

And of course there was a walk with Bean slipped into the day too.

It has been one of those special days when I am humbled by my immense good fortune to live here, caring for this beautiful place. In the company of my lovely dog.
