Gig Trip 1/2

Met my brother here in Knightsbridge, London to visit their exhibition of  London tube maps with dozens on display. Fabulous how they evolved with London's history, and how different versions were used to help the public with travel to the Queens coronation and many other events.

The have a stock of 10,000 maps from across the world from the 15th century. 

The first version of the iconic straight line tube ma was submitted for free to London Transort from Harry Beck in 1933, who had recently been made redundant by them during the depression!

e3 - Map showing the Metropolitan railway, the first ever underground before it was merged into the other later tube lines.

Many of the early maps were so complicated and messy, that there were very confusing to understand - not pictured here.

Wellbeing
Booked the this trip months ago and nearly didn't go, but glad I did, but paid the price pain and fatigue-wise the following day - as expected.
