November
A very cold morning and this is the view along the back of my field. Typical November. White birch etching lines across the dark background. Rusty oak leaves hanging on and rattling in the wind and the green pine hinting at a summer long gone. The election, or I should say the end of the election, is in two days and I've become strangely calm over the last few days. I do think Kamala and Tim will win the presidency although it may take a couple of days for the votes to be counted. When I read last night that ruby red Iowa has Harris in the lead by 3 points, I was stunned. The "silver surge" they are calling it. Those of us who are over 65 and had parents who fought the Nazis in WWII coming out in droves. This is personal for us. Our dads fought fascism we sure as hell won't vote for it!
