Insult to injury

Feeling slightly better again today; just in time for my doctor's appointment this afternoon (so that I could actually tackle this hill - slowly - on the way back up from it). I'd kept thinking it was probably quite pointless going to the docs (other than to see what she thought about me returning to work - or not), but she couldn't have been more sympathetic and reassuring. She has booked me in for some blood tests next week, just to make sure the Covid hasn't 'unmasked' some other issue, and signed me off work for another two weeks. She also reassured me that I will most likely be feeling better after 6-8 weeks. I'll take that over believing it's long Covid...!

Spoke to my Mum again today; she was sounding a bit better after a good night's sleep, though still feeling under the weather from her UTI. She does seem to be on a mission to drink loads of water now though, which is an improvement.
