November berries
Walking up to church in the village this morning I immediately spotted the poppies on the lamp posts. Quite commonplace now around Remembrance Day but it’s a first for our village.
I was very pleased to see them. As a record I decided to take a blip if one alongside our central village flower beds. The two small Rowan trees are full of berries and I had considered them for a blip already so I’ve combined the two.
Still two days from Bonfire night ( 5th November ) but unsurprisingly last night, being the nearest Saturday, had quite a lot of firework activity. Some we could only hear but we had a pretty good view of others.
For the second year running the village Cricket Club was holding an event at their ground. We had 15+ minutes worth of superb fireworks without leaving our settee in the living room! Fabulous. Extra
In Bath the girls have a view of virtually the whole of Bath and for an even better view they were up on the second floor looking out of one of the new Velux windows! Extra
A good night unless you have nervous pets and unfortunately they will probably go on all week.
