Chinese lanterns

This morning I was going to the recycling centre to get compost/soil improver. I got the trailer out checked it over and made sure the lights were working and pumped up the tyres .Then thought I should check if it was open on Sunday and it wasn't.
So I got the lawn mower out and cut the lawns, they are still growing quite fast.
After lunch I did a little bit of work on the organ. No Blip and as its such a grey day I thought I should do something bright.
I then decided to go for a short walk, Deb was in her garden so I had a chat with her and this little bird was around, see extra i think it is a Brambling don't think I have seen one in the garden before.
Cloudy all day.
