Black and white

Black and white tiles always remind me of a ridiculously lengthy search around the tile shops of Amman for floor tiles that weren't peach, floral or golden. My Jordanian builder and his labourers from Najaf didn't really seem to have bonded until they saw the one painted tile I wanted in the middle of a wall of white ones and then spent all day absolutely cracking up about having something pretty to look at in the bath.
