Pruning

Today I’ve pruned our damson tree. Or more accurately I’ve completely butchered it. 
I don’t think we’ll have a glut of damsons next year!
I did the hacking with a very good pair of loppers which I love using, and LooseCanon did the shredding with this machine, feeding in quite big chunks of wood.
In the old days we would have had a bonfire on Bonfire Night, but that sort of thing is discouraged now because of the smoke and particles it creates.
We’ve put the shreddings on the garden, in an area where we usually have wood chippings to keep the weeds down.
The apple tree is next for a haircut.
