Creating soft focus on my iPhone

I was having a discussion with GG about the way that Mobile phones work in order to create different areas of focus across an image. Her point was that the software in the phone had to be creating the effect using AI as there was no lens in the phone that could create that effect.  And as AI is forbidden in many camera club competitions we wondered how the AI police would find a solution to this issue.  I have to add that it isn’t an issue for both of us as we are not really into taking images for competition.  

I’m still finishing off the Parish Newsletter, so went along to the monthly Community get together in the chapel, partly to say hello but also to take a few photos. We were pretty thin on the ground and my instinct is to use the photo of the baked cakes rather than people.  I might have another try with the exercise group on Thursday.
