My happy place...

I last blipped my favourite tree 11 years ago.

We passed it today on our way to Ele and Kenny's for lunch and I was so annoyed I'd forgotten the big camera as I don't get the chance to grab a photo of the tree very often.  There's no place to stop so it has to be a drive by shot, but I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

Got to Ele's just before 1pm.  Our niece Jen was heading to Glasgow but just as we arrived Nikki and Esme and Nikki's mum A arrived too.  They all ended up staying for lunch and I marvelled at Ele's skill as she coped admirably with having twice as many people for lunch than she's planned for.

Had a lovely afternoon chatting and watching the chaotic start of the Brazilian Grand Prix!  D took Kenny a short drive in the car, then afterwards Ele.  They both love it.  

Left just after 5pm, coming home via our friend Carole's to drop off two Christmas photography backdrops for a photoshoot she is doing for a friend.  

On the way to Carole's we made a slight detour and visited our old street and house.  We've been in our current house for 12 and a half years now but driving up towards our old house the years just melted away and it felt perfectly natural to turn into our old driveway.  We didn't of course :-)

Home for dinner and to watch the Strictly results.  I had hoped to look at Blip journals this evening but the antibiotics are wiping me out and I've already dozed off twice just tying this!   An early night needed I think.
