Pulsating

In complete contrast to yesterday, calm weather prevailed today. The lake was initially completely still, until a rogue wave suddenly appeared. Mysteriously, the source was not apparent. There was no boat to create a wake, maybe a slight breeze.

Anyway I liked the pattern it created, as if sound waves were being transmitted. I didn't manage to get focus before the wave dissipated, but I think that softness receding into the distance only helps. I shot this in b&w, but I preferred the colour rendition.

Extra: Ink Wash. Reflections of the willow tree remind me of Japanese ink wash paintings.
