Butterflies
I was over at Dana and Jim's today looking after Sassy and doing a little watering. I like this flight of butterflies on the wall above their bed and they seem to be a good image for the next few days.
I am feeling reasonably calm and trying to think positive thoughts about Tuesday's election. It may be naive, but not for want of thinking about it for the past 9 years, but I just cannot believe that a majority of people in this country will elect such an unhinged and unhappy man. A man who is spending more time setting the stage for what he will do to force his way into office if he loses, than he does thinking of the people he is supposed to represent. I believe that the women of this country will determine the result, and we are a strong and determined lot, not the subservient, helpless types the orange man seems to believe we are when he promises to "protect women whether they like it or not". I believe that the Sisterhood, outraged that a bunch of old white men (and politicians at that) should have anything at all to do with deciding what they do with their bodies, will stick together.
In Flagstaff Arizona yesterday Kamala Harris' running mate Tim Walz told a crowd: I kind of have a feeling that women all across this country, from every walk of life, from either party, are going to send a loud and clear message to Donald Trump next Tuesday...whether he likes it or not.
