Christmas preparations

straubinger adventskalender was being set up and little Christmas market booths (extra) moved into the city centre today! Maybe we’ll have a chance to see the final displays. Hope so!
Another lazy start to the day. Kalyn left quite early to meet a couple of teammates. It was very foggy, so Renata and I waited until it cleared up before we went for our walk along the river and through the city. The busiest day yet with people back to work and kids in school but certainly not crowded. Renata’s father-in-law is German, and Bavarian meatloaf was
always served on Christmas Eve, so she wanted to have some authentic Bavarian meatloaf. She spotted a photo of Bavarian meatloaf on a bun in a window and went in to order one. The woman didn’t speak English, so Renata went back out, took a photo of it, showed it to the woman, and tickety-boo, she had her meatloaf on a bun. Hardly got outside before it was out of the bag and a big bite was in her mouth. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Renata so excited! I got a nut pastry and we sat in a bakery and enjoyed our treats with cappuccino.  Very foggy this morning, a wee bit of sun in the afternoon and very foggy and colder as it gets later. K’s coming over for supper after practice and will stay here again tonight. We’ll make an easy supper and relax for the evening, maybe a couple of games of crib and some time on the puzzle. We haven’t opened our books or watched tv.
It’s great to have cooking and laundry facilities in the Airbnb., so much easier than having to eat every meal in a restaurant or look for a laundromat. Renata did a great job of finding perfect accommodations for our stay here. The three of us are planning to go to Vienna this weekend, if all works out, then Renata and I will check into a different Airbnb. Kalyn has this weekend off, great timing.
Thank you for comments, stars and hearts. I really appreciate all of them. I’m trying to keep up with commenting on other journals rather than replying here.
