Hen Talk

This hen was talking to me. What a shame I couldn't understand what she was saying.

Today, I caught up with the Jeremy Vine series, 'What Makes Us Human', listening to the musings of PD James and Alain de Botton. Most participants to the program answer this question by contrasting humans with animals. The most striking contrast for me is that we have freedom of choice, whereas animals don't. They are here for our sport, pleasure and consumption. My fear is that ultimately humans will destroy the animals (including ourselves) and the planet we all inhabit.
