The Spire…..

Down at the river early this morning. The distant spire belongs to the Church of the Nativity. It is Anglican and my church although I am not a regular attendee. The church has rather lovely acoustics, great for choral singing. And it is sited almost opposite Seymour Square with its beautiful gardens and War Memorial.
This morning I raked the lawns and then mowed them. An overdue cut, but they look so much better now. We were expecting rain this afternoon so I wanted to get the lawns tidy beforehand. Margaret flew back to Wellington this evening. We have had a lovely few days together. The house is now very quiet.
