Red Deer on Jura

Wonderful trip to Jura today. Had a great pub lunch at Craighouse, then visited the distillery, then a craft fair. We were discussing our plans to go looking for deer, and were robustly told that the deer would be hiding. So we turned for home.

Imagine our surprise when we saw a pair running along the side of the road...

Not exactly pin sharp, but then it was manual-focussed through a 2x converter using a monopod in what - even in Scottish terms - would be classified as a stiff breeze.
