The Day Before..
..the day I have been waiting for.
Tomorrow is my appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon for another round of x-rays; I am so hoping that the bones in my arms will have healed enough to have that big splint my left arm removed; it has been on now for 12 weeks and I cannot wait to have it taken off! So fingers crossed.
Today, rather than being a day when I would sit and worry about tomorrow's outcome, turned out to be a hectic day so filled with activity that I had no opportunity to fret!
My daughter and SIL arrived to share the surgeon experience with me tomorrow and spent the morning putting my house back in order from the day when they tore it apart 6 weeks ago. They had to do a lot of heavy furniture moving that day to make room for the hospital bed that was about to arrive. So now my house is back to normal and I have a coffee table again and my dining room suite is once again complete! It feels like home!
They had also arranged lunch out for us...with a couple whose cottage is near ours and whom we do not see often even up north in the summer, let alone back here in the city. That was really neat...and when we returned home, my nephew and family came to visit and stayed for dinner...By the time they left, I was ready for bed. And I had not had time to worry about tomorrow.
During the day, Shawn, the fellow doing my garden work these days, started raking the back yard..a wise move...as "the deluge" had not yet happened. I had taken a photo this morning to show him that the walnut tree was almost ready to drop its leaves ( main) and so it might be best to get a head start.. I happened to be home one year to witness the walnut tree deluge...and to take photos of what can happen in under 30 minutes - a thick deep blanket of yellow over the entire yard and everything in it as well as on the carport roof. From tree in full leaf to tree totally bare...in 30 minutes! Unbelievable...I sent pix of that to him too so he would be prepared...heh heh.
Anyway, being the only photo I took all day, the walnut tree has to be my blip.
