Seen Better Days

Not me, I hasten to add, but my late step-mothers old sewing machine.  I brought it back with me when the house was cleared but now I'm not really sure what to do with it.  It was purchased in Hove in 1927 and cost 8 guineas (I still have the receipt).
It has certainly been well used.  My stepmother used to make most of her own clothes, including her wedding dress when she married my day back in the day.
I don't even know if it's working, and probably not worth the cost of getting it restored. I've taken photos into a couple of antique shops who weren't particularly interested in it, apparently there are a lot of them about and they are quite low value (there seems to be more interest in the ones that have an integrated table and foot pedal).
We do have a local auction, so I might take it along there to see what they think, but I'm not holding my breath (so to speak).
It's incredibly heavy too.
