Abbots Island

A challenging but interesting day!

Capturing Abbots Island and hearing about it was a highlight of the day.

What is left of the stones you can just see, in among the trees, was once a retreat built in the 12th century for the Abbot from Ardchattan Priory who spent the summer months there in complete isolation -

sounds quite appealing to me right now!
