Green

Last night was Halloween, and I was sitting outside a pub in central London. I didn't see anybody in costume until I left to walk back to the tube, where I followed a bunch of people in fancy dress towards Piccadilly Circus. Although I assume it was fancy dress due to the angel wings one was wearing. I may have been too absorbed in the conversation with C.

The merged daily stand-up meeting took longer and left less time for planning, but it was better than I expected. I spent much of the day trying to devise a 'correct' sequence of work to enable us to finish our commitments. I didn't come up with anything that felt right.

At the end of the day, we had some shopping to do. As neither of us had left the house all day, we walked into Wimbledon to visit the Sainsbury’s. When a trip to a supermarket is my Friday night entertainment, maybe I need a reset.

We had some buns left over from Wednesday night's burgers. We turned them into fish burgers tonight by adding some small pieces of battered fish we found in Sainsbury’s. They were surprisingly good.

We ended the evening watching nothing of consequence on the television with a cup of tea and green cookies. They are about the only nod to Halloween we'd done in this house.

It'll soon be Christmas.
