Southwold

Alexander was impressed with Southwold Pier: you can see the sea through the floor, and there are some crazy halfway-up-the-pier attractions I highly recommend. Due to the incredibly cold wind, we had to follow up our lunch by a hot chocolate and diabetes-inducing cake before venturing out onto the beach. There were small groups of people huddling in the lee of the groynes, where it was actually very pleasant.

Later on, we visited the Adnams shop and loaded up with beer equivalent in weight to another person....
