Penny Policy

We found this Insurance Policy and if you look closely you will see that it is for a vast sum of money! If she died before age 3 my Grandparents would get £6 which in 1924 probably was quite a lot of money. Over age 6 it is for £15. I have put in a claim and am wondering how much it will be. They had to pay one penny per week. This of course was 1d not 1p so in a year they paid roughly 22p in today's money.
Some years ago Mum got a letter telling her to consider the policy paid in full. It obviously was not profitable to send the man from the Pru to collect the money.
