doxing, April 1961 style
It was (local) newsworthy that my dad flew on business to Los Angeles on 29 April 1961. They kindly provided our full address...
The landing card said he flew on BOAC Flight 591 London Heathrow to Los Angeles via New York, presumably Idlewild International Airport, now JFK. On a Boeing 707 it was a 13 hour journey end to end, which doesn't seem much slower than my first direct DC10 flight in the 90's, about 10 hours if memory serves.
