More jumbles of boats at Allington

A packe morning where we drove across town to Allington to walk into Maidstone to finalise the details and place an order for the cremation tablet for Doreen and Ken.

Time only for a quick coffee as we needed to click and collect paint from Homebase and get back to meet the carpenter who was finishing off the wardrobe doors and cubbyhole door in the back bedroom.

Renovations are going well. New plasterboard installed and plastered along with the artexed ceiling. The aforementioned doors also complete. Final steps are the electrician to fit lighting and the finishing decoration. Very pleased with all the tradespeople.

Yesterday’s sunshine was a teaser, today we’ve paid for it. Misty and lowering. After finishing various jobs at the computer I went for a run in the darker gloominess. First run for over two weeks since that lurgy after the jabs. Considering it is 5th November , it was very quiet out there.

Woke to news that grandson tripped over someone’s foot in PE at school and has broken his collarbone. Arm in a sling for 4-6 weeks. He seems unfazed by it now. It’ll stop his sporting activities for a while!
