Fun-grey

Good Lord! The gloomy grey skies are unrelenting. Really hope that this isn’t a tenuous precursor to the events unfolding across the pond….

I made a rare foray into the office today and was delighted to find that a hideous public facing banner that had been glued to the windows and blocked out the light had been forced to come down by order of the landlord. There was a certain irony in that at present it has only let more grey in and the windows themselves are a mess from the glue, but hey, I’ll take the light any day!

It was a busy morning and I was able to get a lot of annoying outstanding tasks put to bed which is also a nice feeling. There’s a trip to London looming on Thursday too - I’m going to meet a couple more of these clients I am about to inherit. Might be a late one apparently…

Following a spot of lunch I took a wander to take in some air and try and find something marginally interesting to blip, when I happened across this fun-guy. I do find something fantastical about funghi......

The wee ones returned mid afternoon and to their credit got stuck into their homework. The Youngest had some long division to do, which left me absolutely baffled and frustrated at my own inability to assist, but fortunately m’boy was on hand to guide us in the right direction. I say “us”, I was still clueless, but The Youngest seemed to have grasped it after our tears and shouting had subsided.

It all calmed down with a chat over a cottage pie to the backdrop of fireworks going off around us.
