The worker bees are getting a bit tattered

I am so pleased with this photo of a worker Garden Bumblebee (Bombus hortorum) collecting nectar from the flowers of a lambs-ear plant in our garden. The detail is gratifying for a phone camera. The bee is looking a bit battered as worker bees tend to do as the summer progresses.
