Halifax Coat of Arms

This carving is on the wall of the ex-Park Road Baths in Halifax - now closed and converted into the King's Church and King's Centre.
The carving is based on the original Halifax coat of arms.  The face is of St. John Baptist  the patron saint of wool merchants. Historically Halifax was an important wool trading centre making St. John an appropriate saint for the town
